The purpose of the article is to identify the impact of digitalization of the economy on the development of agricultural production by conducting econometric analysis and to hypothesize that there is a high statistical dependence between the indicator of digitalization of the economy and the indicators of agricultural production growth.
Research methods. A comprehensive methodological toolkit has been used to achieve the goal and solve the set tasks, in particular: abstract-logical method (in studying the theoretical basis of the impact of digitalization of the economy and agrarian production), monographic (to clarify the nature of the relevant categories), economic and statistical (in identifying trends and patterns of development of the economy of the state in general, and the agrarian sector in particular), graphic (to identify the dynamics of the main indicators used in the econometric model), systematic approach methods, correlation and regression analysis, clustering, and summarization and other methods in the field of economic research.
Research results. The level of the national economy development, whose indicator is selected by GDP, that is, its dynamics during the study period, has been determined. The character of the dependence of national GDP, exports and other principal macroeconomic indicators of the commodity market on production and export-import of agricultural products has been analyzed. The nature of the dependence of change of national GDP, indicators of development of agrarian sector on gradual digitalization of economy has been revealed; index of development of information and communication technologies (IDI) has been used as indicators of development of digitalization. The relations between productivity, labor productivity, the number of mineral fertilizers introduced and the costs of enterprises for innovation have been outlined. The existence of a high statistical dependence between the indicator of digitalization of the economy and indicators of the development of agricultural production has been proved.
Scientific novelty. Theoretical provisions on the impact of digitalization of the economy on agricultural production have been further developed, which have confirmed the scientific hypothesis about the existence of a certain regular link between the development of the state economy (GDP), its export potential, the dynamics of development of the agricultural sector of the economy (production of agro-production) processes.
Practical significance. The econometric study has revealed a statistically significant relationship (high correlation coefficient and statically significant correlation-regression model) between the Digitized Economy Indicator (IDI) and the output indicators: agricultural production / GDP (average GDP), % agricultural GDP, agricultural export, % of exports (EXPagro), average crop yield (Yield). The necessity and expediency of taking into account the influence of digitalization of the economy in the study of problems and prospects of agricultural production growth have been substantiated.
